Remote Staff Choir
In order to do something a little different during this time of school closure, Mr Hackett challenged the staff at Warden House to do something a little different to say "Hi" to their children and families: Setting up a remote staff choir! Staff were asked to record themselves on their phones singing along to a backing track of "Here comes the sun!" by The Beatles and send it in so that their file could be edited together with the others to create a complete performance.
30 staff members were brave enough to record themselves - and it was a real privilege to blend their voices together into one unique sound. Many adults were well outside of their comfort zones in doing this and we thank them for being brave and having a go! We think you'll agree that they have combined to produce a fantastic first effort! Staff were also asked to send in videos or images of themselves so that they could be used to say "hi" to the children and families at Warden House.
The production was a real community effort - with wider family members helping out. CEO Mr Chisnell played electric guitar; guitarist Peter Tomas sent in a great acoustic guitar part for us and singer Gemma Wilkinson also recorded some lovely harmonies.
We hope you like our first virtual performance!
